Minna no Zeikin (hereinafter "this site") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter "this policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information. Please read this policy carefully before using this site.

2. Information Collected and Purpose of Use

1. Information collected via the contact form

We collect the name, email address, and inquiry content that you enter when contacting us. The collected information is used for the purpose of replying to your inquiry and improving the operation of this site. We do not provide it to third parties. The form is processed by Web3Forms, a form submission service, and the information you enter reaches the site operator via that service (see the Web3Forms privacy policy).

2. Access analysis tool (Google Analytics)

This site uses "Google Analytics," an access analysis tool provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect and analyze user behavior. The data collected is anonymous and does not identify individuals.

To disable data collection by Google Analytics, please use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3. Advertising service (Google AdSense)

This site uses "Google AdSense," an advertising distribution service provided by Google. Google AdSense uses cookies to display personalized ads according to users' interests.

By Google's use of advertising cookies, ads are delivered based on information from when users access this site and other sites. Users can disable personalized advertising on the Google ad settings page. Users can also disable third-party vendor cookies by visiting aboutads.info.

4. Comments on articles (members only)

Japanese-language articles have a comment box. Reading and posting comments is limited to people signed in with a Google account as described in section 5 (free of charge). Any nickname (optional; entered with each comment, shown as anonymous if left blank) and comment text you submit are shown to other signed-in members. Please do not write your name, address, email address, telephone number, or any other information that could identify you or a third party.

With each comment we record the poster's member identifier (Firebase UID), a hashed form of your IP address (the original address cannot be recovered), the country code of the connection, and a hashed form of the browser type. These are used only to limit repeated posting and to block abusive comments or posters, and are never shared with third parties. Raw IP addresses are not stored.

Comments are published automatically, but submissions containing URLs, email addresses or telephone numbers, and those containing defamatory or discriminatory expressions, are rejected automatically. Even after publication, we may hide or delete a comment at our discretion without notice. To request deletion of your own comment, please contact us via the contact page with the date and content of the post.

5. Member sign-in (Google account)

This site offers sign-in with a Google account through "Firebase Authentication", a service provided by Google LLC. When you sign in, we receive only the email address, display name and profile photo URL of your Google account, together with the user identifier (UID) issued by Firebase. We never handle your password.

This information is used solely (1) to show your signed-in state (icon and name) at the top right of the page, (2) to email new and recommended articles to those who have opted in, and (3) to store the articles you bookmark against your account so that the same list opens on any device. Your reading history is kept only in your browser and is never sent to our server. It is never shared with third parties. Mailings go only to those who have chosen to receive them, and you can change this preference when signing in or at any time from the menu at the top right.

To keep you signed in, authentication data is stored in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB. "Sign out" in the top-right menu clears this data, and "Delete account" removes your registered email address and mailing preference from this site as well as your account on Firebase. 6. Contributor (licensed tax accountant) profiles

The profile that a licensed tax accountant registers in order to contribute articles (name, tax accountant registration number, office name, office website, biography and X profile URL) is published in the author box of their articles and on their author page when they set it to "public". We verify the name and registration number against the Japan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' Associations' search service before approval. The public setting can be changed at any time, and the profile can be deleted from the screen (except while published contributions exist).

3. About Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This site uses cookies for access analysis, ad delivery, and improving convenience.

You can disable cookies from your browser settings, but in that case some functions of this site may not work properly. For instructions on disabling cookies, please refer to the help of the browser you are using.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

This site will not provide collected personal information to third parties, except in any of the following cases.

• When the user themselves has given consent
