Our mission: eliminating "losing money simply because you didn't know"
Taxes and social insurance affect everyone who lives in this country, yet the system is complex, the terminology is difficult, and no one comes to teach you. Deductions apply only to those who claim them, and subsidies reach only those who apply for them. On the same income, the take-home pay of "those who know" and "those who don't" can differ by tens of thousands of yen a year — sometimes hundreds of thousands. We call this "the cost of not knowing," and we genuinely believe it is a social problem that should be eliminated.
This kind of knowledge once belonged only to people who could afford a tax accountant's retainer or who had the time to research it themselves. What we aim to do is break that information asymmetry: to deliver the knowledge that directly affects take-home pay — tax returns, year-end adjustment, the various deductions, Furusato Nozei, iDeCo, subsidies — in a form that is free, open to everyone, and actionable from tomorrow. We do not stop at reading; we show you the first step to take today. That is this site's reason for existing.
Passion, however, is no substitute for accuracy. Precisely because taxes are directly tied to people's money and lives, we hold ourselves to verifying every figure against primary sources such as the National Tax Agency, citing our sources, and always noting the risks and exceptions as well. Not exaggerated "secret tricks," but the rules the system itself provides — made usable by everyone. That is the promise of Minna no Zeikin.
About the operator
"Minna no Zeikin" is produced by the "Minna no Zeikin Editorial Team," led by a sole proprietor who worked for several years at accounting-related companies before becoming independent. During those years as an employee, this person was involved in the practical side of tax and accounting; after going independent, they have handled their own tax returns, bookkeeping, and tax saving (blue-return filing, iDeCo, Furusato Nozei, and so on) firsthand. By combining that hands-on experience with checks against official materials such as those from the National Tax Agency, we aim to reduce the number of people who lose money because they did not know the rules.
At the same time, we are not licensed professionals such as tax accountants. That is precisely why we are thorough in our policy of always verifying important facts — tax amounts, requirements, and deadlines — against primary sources (.go.jp) and clearly citing them. For details of our editorial thinking, please see our Editorial Policy and Information Accuracy Policy.

Each article displays its publication date and update date along with a note on our writing and editorial process. If you find any errors or outdated information, please let us know via Contact us. We will check the matter and correct it promptly where necessary.
